Breakdown vs planned care
Air compressors and dryers are often run until something fails. That approach looks cheaper until a production line stops mid-shift. An Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) shifts work to planned intervals-filters, oil, separators, drains, and inspections-so failures are less frequent and less surprising.
What a useful compressor AMC should cover
- Scheduled visits aligned to running hours or calendar intervals
- Consumables as agreed (filters, oil, separators) with genuine or approved equivalents
- Basic performance checks (pressure, temperature, drains, dryer dew-point where applicable)
- Clear response expectations for breakdowns during contract scope
- Service records so your team and ours share the same history
Who benefits most
Plants with continuous or multi-shift air demand, limited in-house utility technicians, or critical processes that cannot tolerate long air outages gain the most from a formal AMC.
